The quest is under way to discover the Island’s budding photographers in a new competition launched by marketing and public relations company Home Strategic.
The ‘Home Run’ competition will pit local photographers against each other in a knock-out style competition that will run throughout the summer over several themed rounds with the two finalists going through to compete head to head.
"This competition is all about discovering and highlighting the photographic talent there is on the Isle of Man," said Steve Wicks, joint Managing Director of Douglas-based Home Strategic.
"The competition is open to any photographer on the Island, regardless of age or experience."
The winner will receive a cheque for ?150 together with the ‘Home Run’ cup, which they will hold for one year, while for the runner-up there will be a cheque for ?50 and a certificate.
All entry fees will be shared between any of the Island’s photographic clubs whose members enter the competition, with the value awarded being proportionate to the total number of members entering from each club.
Entry forms, the entry fee of just ?3 and the first round digital photograph must be received by Home Strategic by 16th April.
