MAS plc (135) vs Stone Art (94)
MAS plc welcomed back their number 1 - Malcolm Levy who took on Stone Art's - Allister Crossley. Levy’s consistent level of squash was too much for Allister, who lost in straight games. (15/9, 15/7, 15/4). Meanwhile, Robin Crease was a welcome reserve for the injury plagued MAS team. Crease played Lyndon Cheetham, Cheetham just getting to fifteen before Crease to take the first game. Crease started to play more consistently and, despite Cheetham’s efforts, took the next three games to win for MAS plc. (13/15, 15/5, 15/8, 15/13). Peter Ferguson played Chris Corrigan, Fergie taking the first two games with Corrigan pulling a game back by narrowly taking the third. Ferguson regained control in the fourth to win the match. (15/8, 15/14, 13/15, 15/9).

Verve Consultants (186) vs Onchan Juniors (216)
Tonight’s fixture saw a once again depleted Verve (to be renamed SWERVE next season) take on the ever improving Juniors. First up was Derek Tootill (now a welcome regular and much needed sub) playing Nathan Quilliam. Quilliam made short work of this match, winning 3-0. Next Phil Challenger took on Tarek Gomaa. Challenger, starting well, took the first 15/11, only to lose the following 3 games after a great battle - another one to watch, young Gomaa. Phil Shaw then took on Mason McLarney and a great tussle ensued with McLarney just coming out on top in the fifth. Graham Parrington took on Chris Cave in an early match and won 15/14 in the fifth. Last up was the returning to old form John Williams, playing Jason Crease. Williams took the first 2 games with seemingly little effort, then Crease clawed one back but the Verver came through to win the match 3-1.
Roys Rockets (133) vs Island Exhaust Systems (225)
Island Exhaust were on a mission and Roy’s Rockets weren't firing on all cylinders. At 4 and 5 Ian Sheard and Brian Cowley were ruthless in their onslaught of Stuart Highy and Helen Cave. Garreth Roome and Pete Sharples had a very long, close tussle at 3 with Sharples winning by 2 points. At 2 Clive McGreal continued the onslaught against Chris Lee, and Dave Griffiths was too precise for Pat Russell. Mission accomplished!
Jewel Tech (218) vs SMP (171)
Jewel Tech needed to take maximum points against a slightly under strength SMP. Ian Barnes, Mark Stratford, Gordon Beresford and Shaun Callow all duly obliged against their SMP counterparts, but at No1, Carl Albright was treading treacle against John Watterson who pulled a 3-1 win out of the bag.
