Explosions at Laurel Bank, fire crews tackle blaze

by isleofman.com 4th April 2010

Several explosions were sparked by a fire in an outbuilding, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Fire crews received several calls after the blasts were heard in the Laurel Bank area, on the TT course.

The explosions are thought to have been caused by items being stored in the building.

Residents in the main house escaped without injury.

Crews from Kirk Michael and Peel were called out and stayed at the scene for more than two hours, damping down.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service is investigating the cause of the blaze.
