There will be a by-election for a new commissioner in Peel later this month.

Neil Cushing and Ian Davidson, both residents of the town, will contest the seat vacated by the resignation of Ian Skidmore last month.

Mr Cushing, of Oak Road, is a chartered accountant and Mr Davidson, of Derby Road, describes himself as a managing director.

The polling station at the Corrin Hall will be open for 12 hours, from 8am on Thursday, April 22.
