by isleofman.com 1st April 2010

The bizarre theft of a tree from the grounds of a property in Ballafletcher Road, Douglas is being investigated by police.

It's believed the 25ft ash was cut down with a chainsaw during broad daylight, between March 1 and March 30.

Officers say a vehicle would have been required to take the tree from the property.

Anyone who knows who was responsible, or has experienced a similar case of theft is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212.
