Government ready for 'plant food' challenge

Outlawing mephedrone is only the beginning of the process of stopping its use, according to the MHK with responsibility for the Manx government’s Drug and Alcohol Strategy.

New legislation in effect from today (Thursday) means it's now illegal to import, export, sell or supply the substance, or possess it with a view to selling or supplying it.

However, Bill Malarkey says clamping down on the abuse of so called 'plant food' is a much bigger challenge:
