A public art installation in honour of Archibald Knox is being proposed for a landmark site in Douglas.
Subject to planning permission it will be at 69 Athol Street, a property next door to the former Knox family home.
Born in the Isle of Man in 1864, Archibald Knox became one of the most influential figures in the British Art Nouveau and arts and crafts movements.
Douglas Development Partnership is commissioning the work in conjunction with Dixcart Management (IOM) Ltd, the firm which owns the property.
The Isle of Man Arts Council is co-funding this piece of artwork.
The idea is to create a timepiece of some sort, and the partnership is inviting expressions of interest from artists in the Isle of Man and further afield.
