An inquest has heard a Laxey man whose body was found in the village earlier this month died from a severe head injury.
Adam Hobson was discovered in the early hours of Sunday, March 21, close to a property off Church Hill.
A large part of the village was closed off while investigations were carried out.
Coroner of Inquests Alastair Montgomerie said a post mortem carried out by a Home Office pathologist concluded the cause of death was the head injury.
Mr Montgomerie also said it was clear the 45-year-old floor fitter, originally from South Yorkshire, was well-liked and respected and he expressed his condolences to Mr Hobson's family.
The inquest has been adjourned to allow the police to conclude their investigations.
