Come Out to Play with Children's Centre

by isleofman.com 31st March 2010

With the school holidays just around the corner, The Children's Centre is ready to offer its 'Out2Play' scheme to families.

This popular open access play scheme will be at fourteen locations in the Easter Holidays between Tuesday 6th April and Friday 16th April.

The sessions are free of charge and offer play activities for children at locations around the Island.

Out2Play runs two 2 hour sessions every day, and because the weather tends to be predictable at this time of year, they'll be held indoors.

The playscheme is staffed by the Centre's dedicated team of professional playworkers who ensure that the children have a great time.

Children will need to bring a drink with them as the play is energetic.  It can also get very messy so it is advisable to wear old clothes and footwear that will cope with the demands of running around and please leave valuables safely at home.

As the scheme has an ‘open access’ policy, children are free to come and go as they please and so sessions are aimed at older children aged 5-11 years.

Parents are welcome to stay and join in with the fun too; any younger children may attend if they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

Children can attend a single session or as many as they wish but must be signed in at each session by a parent/guardian so that the senior play-worker has emergency contact information.  There is no need to book in advance – just come along and join in the fun!
