Man allegedly imported and used fake coins

A 64-year-old man has appeared before the deputy high bailiff, charged with possessing counterfeit money, and drugs.

Alfred Charles Omar, of Ballacriy Park in Colby, is accused of having fake ?2 and ?1 coins.

He is also charged with importing and using them.

The drugs charge refers to tablets, believed to be ecstasy, which he alleged possessed with intent to supply.

The defendant was bailed until April 27.
