Staff in the ICM Group recently raised £1,000 for Crossroads Caring for Careers through a variety of fundraising events.
Hannah Thompson, Social Enterprise Co-ordinator for Crossroads Community Venture, accepted the cheque from members of the ICM Charitable Trust Committee.
Hannah expressed her gratitude and informed the committee that the donated funds would be divided among various projects within the charity ("This way, everybody benefits", explained Hannah).
One of these is the Social Enterprise Project, providing regular access to a working environment for adults with learning disabilities.
This helps them learn the skills and confidence needed to achieve employment. Hannah told ICM staff a few success stories of beneficiaries of the scheme who have now found employment and as a consequence feel a valued member of society.
Crossroads Caring for Carers was established to help improve lives of carers on the Island and the ICM Charitable Trust were pleased to make a donation to such a dedicated and worthy charity.
