It's been confirmed Manchester music legend Ian Brown will be performing at the Villa Marina during TT.
The singer originally found fame with the Stone Roses, whose debut album is regularly hailed as one of the greatest of all time.
Brown has also forged a highly successful solo career over the last 13 years or so.
He'll play in the Royal Hall on Saturday, June 5.
Edward Oldham's been looking back at his career (audio file attached):
The Stone Roses, along with the likes of the Happy Mondays and The Charlatans, were leaders of the "Madchester" scene in the late 80s and early 90s, when psychedelia met acid house and the Hacienda was the centre of the clubbing world.
But this is no nostalgia act as Brown has released six solo albums - four of them going top ten in the UK - since the Roses split following a disastrous appearance at the Reading Festival in 1996.
His influence, attitude and onstage presence has inspired a whole generation of bands and particularly frontmen - Liam Gallagher of Oasis being the most obvious.
Tickets go on sale on Saturday.
