Vikings bow out in semi-final

by isleofman.com 29th March 2010

The dream has finally ended for Manx women’s hockey champions Vikings.

They were defeated 2-1 by reigning champions East Grinstead of Sussex in the English hockey vase semi-final.

It’s believed to be the furthest any Manx team has progressed in an off-Island competition in mainstream hockey.

The team is thanking everyone who has helped them over the competition for their support.

East Grinstead has just gained promotion to the southern county leagues.
