Island resident's 'plant food' warning

A mother from the Isle of Man has been on United Kingdom national daytime television to warn others about the dangers of so called 'legal highs'.

Forty-two-year-old Elaine appeared on the Jeremy Kyle show yesterday to tell how she and her family all became addicted to mephedrone.

She told the audience how her addiction to the drug, which is in the process of being banned in the Island, cost her health, home and job.

Elaine explained the catastrophic consequences of taking the substance, also known as 'plant food':
