Cathedral concert in aid of exhibition

Music for all tastes and a high energy, spectacular finale is promised at a wind orchestra extravaganza this evening (Saturday).

The Isle of Man Wind Orchestra and the Manx Youth Wind Orchestra are joining forces at St German's Cathedral in Peel.

The concert, being held in support of the month-long Anne Frank + You exhibition, will feature more than 80 musicians performing classic wind orchestra pieces, as well as more modern transcriptions and original compositions.

The programme will include American Patrol, highlights from the musical 'Wicked' and Soul Bossa Nova.

Chairman of the Isle of Man Wind Orchestra Michael Morrison says it should be an enjoyable occasion for all ages:
