Police are hunting a driver who narrowly missed a visually impaired man crossing the road in Ballasalla.

The incident happened shortly before 09.30am on Monday, as the man was using the pedestrian crossing outside the offices of Malew Commissioners.

The car was travelling from the Whitestone public house towards St Mark's and police say it almost hit the man as he was halfway across the road.

Anyone with any information about the driver or the vehicle is asked to ring Castletown Police Station, on 822222.
