The Manx public has been given a chance to hear from a man whose life was transformed by a pioneering operation.
President of Diabetes UK Richard Lane underwent three pancreatic Islet transplants in 2005, which allowed him to stop using insulin injections for nearly a year.
He's on the Island today (Thursday) and gave a talk to the Manx Diabetic Group's annual general meeting.
