by isleofman.com 25th March 2010

Police are still appealing for witnesses to an accident at the weekend in which a man was struck by a car.

It happened around 2am on Saturday in Derby Road, Douglas when a 20-year-old from the town was hit by an unknown vehicle in the area of the Bowling Green public house.

The man, who was dressed in a grey tracksuit, was walking along Derby Road at the time.

Te car which hit him, thought to be dark in colour, didn't stop and was last seen being driven towards Woodbourne Road.

The pedestrian was kept in Noble's Hospital over the weekend with concussion, but has since been released.

Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212, or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
