Illumination experiment in Port Erin

by isleofman.com 25th March 2010

Milner's Tower on Bradda Head will be lit up this evening (Thursday) in an experiment which, if successful, could become a permanent feature.

The Manx Electricity Authority and the lighting firm Urbis have been asked to make the necessary arrangements, on behalf of the Port Erin Regeneration Committee.

MEA Chairman Quintin Gill, MHK, says the authority would be pleased to receive any feedback on the illumination experiment from local residents or visitors to the village.

Comments for the committee can be emailed via mea@gov.im or by telephoning 687798.

The MEA says if the scheme goes ahead the lighting will be solar powered.
