Easter Egg Hunt at Peel Castle

by isleofman.com 24th March 2010

Children will get an extra treat when they visit Peel Castle during the forthcoming Easter holiday period.

Manx National Heritage will be setting out an Easter Treasure Trail within the grounds of the castle aimed at children aged 11 and under.

The children will be invited to search for 10 clue cards scattered around the grounds which will test their knowledge of the castle and provide them with letters to make up a secret phrase.

If they are able to answer the questions correctly and repeat the secret phrase to the Castle Guides, they will receive a Cadbury’s cream egg.

The  ACE card scheme gives Isle of Man school children free admission to all Manx National Heritage sites, although under 12s need to be accompanied by an adult, so it’s a great opportunity for parents and relatives to re-visit Peel’s most fascinating ancient ruin whilst the children enjoy completing the trail.
