Liberal Vannin Party leader and Onchan MHK Peter Karran says he will consider the future of a private member's bill, after the Reciprocal Health Agreement was given a last-minute reprieve.
The proposed legislation, given a first reading in the House of Keys yesterday, would provide universal health insurance for Isle of Man residents, in return for a small levy on the cost of trips to and from the Island.
The agreement is due to be renegotiated after United Kingdom Health Secretary Andy Burnham said he would leave it in place for another six months, after April 1, when it was due to end.
