Royal Charity Effort for 2010 Sport Relief

by isleofman.com 23rd March 2010

Royal London 360° staff have raised ?692.10 for Sport Relief.

On UK Sport Relief Day last week (Friday 19th March), staff turned up for work in their best sports outfits in return for making a donation to the charity.

All of the money collected during other dress-down days in March has also been added to the total.

Fresh fruit was prepared for staff to buy, keeping with the day’s sports and health theme, with all money from that donated to the charity.

In addition, eight members of Royal London 360° staff took part in the Isle of Man Sport Relief mile on Sunday 21 March. Richard Downing-Green, Claire Bagshaw, Zoe Graves, Keith McKay, Selena Bostock, Rebecca McKendrey, David Hull and Julia Bratty ran three miles each along Douglas Promenade; a further donation of ?250 will be made to Sport Relief from this.

Natalie Dutton, Head of Marketing at Royal London 360°, commented, "I’d like to thank everyone for the huge effort and contribution they have made.

All of the money we have raised on Sport Relief day will go towards helping disadvantaged people across the world, for example building primary schools in Africa to give children an education they wouldn’t otherwise receive.

"Sport Relief is a very worthwhile charity and I’m proud that staff were only too happy to dig deep to support it."
