The final of the 2010 One World Charity Challenge is being held at the Manx Museum this evening (Tuesday).
The competition involves Year 12 students selecting a Manx charity operating overseas and researching its work in some of the world's poorest regions.
All the Island's secondary schools and the Isle of Man College have taken part, and tonight the winning team from each school will showcase their charity's work in front of a judging panel and large audience.
A grant pool of ?14,500 sponsored by the H & S Davidson Trust will be shared among the finalists' charities, and that figure will be matched by the Manx government's Overseas Aid Committee.
Another ?8,500 will be donated to those charities whose teams didn't make it to the finals.
