The new headquarters of Arthritis Care Ellan Vannin have been officially opened by Douglas Mayoress Shirley Wilson.

Located on the Union Mills Industrial Estate, Arthritis Care Ellan Vannin is one of the causes to benefit from the Mayoress’s charity appeal fund.

In his welcoming speech, Chairman John Haxby expressed his delight that the charity finally had a home, the team having had to lead a ‘nomadic’ existence for some years.

In her reply, Mrs Wilson praised the Arthritis Care Ellan Vannin team and made special mention of Karin Watson and Mandy Kelly, who had put much time and effort into helping establish the new headquarters, from where advice and support will be offered to people with arthritis an associated illnesses as well as to their family and friends.
