A Manx charity for the homeless says difficult financial times are putting an increased burden on its services, and its own finances.
Kemmyrk provides shelter, counselling and conciliation for young people who find themselves without permanent accommodation, and now needs to raise more money to continue operating at its present level.
Reverend Cyril Rogers, who works with the charity, says it deals with all aspects of homelessness (play audio file):
Kemmyrk's services are aimed at those in the 16 to 25 age group, and anybody can pop in for advice at the charity's recently opened headquarters in Myrtle Street, Douglas.
Opening hours are 9am to 12 noon on week days, and by appointment in the afternoon.
