Presentation for navy crew

A town in the Isle of Man will honour its Royal Navy namesake at a ceremony next month.

The 34-strong crew of the Sandown class minesweeper HMS Ramsey will receive the freedom of entry to Ramsey on April 24.

They will march in full dress uniform from the port to the Town Hall to receive a specially commissioned manuscript.

Commissioners chairman Sylvia Beattie says the town has a very special link with the vessel:
