Campaigner welcomes surprise announcement

A Ballasalla man dubbed an 'unsung hero' in the campaign to save the Reciprocal Health Agreement says he was as amazed as anyone by last week's dramatic developments.

Eddie Power contributed to the cause by lobbying politicians in the United Kingdom, including Andrew Mackinlay MP.

He says the announcement by Chief Minister Tony Brown that the arrangement will continue for at least six more months was very welcome (play audio file):
