A fifth candidate will contest the Douglas East by-election in May.
Manx celebrity chef and hotelier Kevin Woodford will bid for the seat made vacant following Phil Braidwood’s elevation to the Legislative Council last week.
Mr Woodford, who actually stood for the Council initially, says his intentions remain unchanged.
Nominations will close on April 27.
The other candidates to have come forward so far are: Douglas councillor Colin Cain, former managing director of the Sefton Hotel Chris Robertshaw, chairman of the Liberal Vannin Party Kate Beecroft and secretary of the Isle of Man Communication Workers Union at the Post Office, John Joughin.
