Hard-hitting images in mephedrone campaign

by isleofman.com 19th March 2010

A picture of a dead body on a mortuary slab, a tag on the cold, pale toe saying 'misadventure'.

That's the hard-hitting image which has been chosen to front a new government campaign highlighting the dangers of taking mephedrone.

Posters and leaflets containing the picture and details of the drugs side-effects will be sent out to places including doctors’ surgeries, schools and voluntary agencies’ premises.

More is planned over the coming weeks, but are not being announced at this stage to enable them to have maximum impact on the target group, which is 15 to 40-year-olds in the Isle of Man.
