Peel Commissioner resigns

by isleofman.com 18th March 2010

Peel Commissioners are reeling from the shock resignation of Ian Skidmore.

He has cited health reasons and work commitments as the reasons for standing down.

Chairman Rodger Gimbert says it was announced at the board meeting on Tuesday night.

Mr Gimbert says he's shocked and saddened by the news and has thanked Mr Skidmore for his great contributions and tireless efforts on the behalf of the residents of Peel.

A by-election to fill the seat will be held before the end of April.
