All set for Energy Expo

by isleofman.com 17th March 2010

A team from the company developing a vast offshore windfarm will be at the Isle of Man Energy Expo later this week.

Centrica is using the occasion to carry out part of its public consultation on the wind farm which will be sited 12 miles off the southern coastline of the Isle of Man.

There will also be plenty of opportunity for the public to see how other forms of renewable energy could help to revolutionise electricity production.

The Department of Trade and Industry's senior energy policy manager Dr Ken Milne says there'll be plenty to see.

The Expo is at the Isle of Man College on Friday and Saturday from 10am onwards.
