Tynwald demo planned over health

by isleofman.com 13th March 2010

Members of Tynwald returning from lunch for Tuesday's session are set to be greeted by an unusual sight.

Demonstrators supporting Michael MHK David Cannan's proposal to fund the Reciprocal Health Agreement for an extra six months will be outside Legislative Buildings.

Mr Cannan says his scheme will give the Isle of Man Government time to put in place legislation to ensure healthcare is provided for Manx people who get ill in the UK.

Edith Quaggin is one of the demonstrators and says anyone with an interest should join in.
