Anne Frank exhibition draws the crowds

Organisers of the Anne Frank exhibition in Peel say they're thrilled at the number of people visiting it.

The acclaimed exhibition was officially opened by the Lieutenant Governor Sir Paul Haddacks at a packed ceremony in Peel Cathedral last night.

Guest speaker was Herbert Levy from the Anne Frank Trust UK, a Holocaust survivor.

In vivid terms he described the horrors of living in Nazi Germany, his escape to Britain and his experience in an internment camp in Port Erin.

Exhibition Co Ordinator Cath Quirk hopes it will prove a lasting legacy for all who visit:
