Danger Point - do you remember it?

by isleofman.com 9th March 2010

The search is on for the stars of a drama filmed in the Isle of Man in the early 1970s.

Danger Point, produced by the Children's Film Foundation, tells the story of three teenagers who steal a boat and get into trouble off Port Erin Bay.

The cast was made up of pupils from the Buchan School and Port Erin lifeboat crew, as well as guest appearances by Hattie Jacques and Nicholas Parsons.

It's set to be screened at the Manx Museum on Friday (March 12) and archivist Wendy Thirkettle is hoping as many of the original cast will be able to attend.

Other films on show include archive footage of Radio Caroline, the Tholt-y-Will Hill climb and the 1979 Millennium Laa Columb Killey.

Doors open at 7pm.
