Keeping porn out of reach

by isleofman.com 9th March 2010

North Douglas MHK John Houghton says shopkeepers have to stay vigilant to make sure children aren’t exposed to explicit material.

In the House of Keys today (Tuesday) he’ll quiz Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw about what powers police have to make sure top shelf magazines stay out of the reach of youngsters.

Mr Houghton says he’s had complaints about a retailer which he says was displaying adult publications at children’s eye level.

And he hopes his question will be a reminder to shops to behave responsibly.
