Chief defends timing of reshuffle

by isleofman.com 8th March 2010

The Chief Minister has defended the timing of the reshuffle of government departments and Ministers.

Tynwald voted through legislation to rearrange the Departments and create the new Department of Economic Development last month.

Earlier today (Monday) the line-up of new ministers was announced with only Adrian Earnshaw at Home Affairs staying in post and all others being moved.

Asked whether the move was a distraction at a time when stability was needed, Tony Brown said it was important to shape Government to the task at hand.
