Charges brought by Douglas Corporation against one of their own councillors have been dropped.
In court, the public works committee acknowledged Councillor Helen Callow had carried out works on her house to restore it from a dilapidated state.
Mrs Callow's lawyers argued the case had been prioritised by the council in order to make an example - a charge the Corporation vehemently denied.
Chairman of the Public Works Committee, Councillor Richie McNicholl, said dilapidated houses were a perpetual headache.
