Fish Producers chief disappointed at new title

by isleofman.com 6th March 2010

The Chief Executive of the Manx Fish Producers Organisation says he's disappointed that 'Fisheries' will no longer be reflected in the title of any government department.

Under the recently announced re-organisation of government departments, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry will be absorbed into the new Department of the Environment, Food and Agriculture.

Tom Bryan-Brown says whilst he would have liked to see the word still in the title, he will wait and see how the new department shapes up.

He's congratulating the farmers on managing to ensure the word 'agriculture' wasn't also consigned to titular oblivion.
