Island health deal with Wales will remain

by isleofman.com 4th March 2010

Island residents who fall ill in Wales from next month will NOT need to pay for medical treatment.

The ending of the Reciprocal Health Agreement in the UK from April 1 will not apply there.

Although the Welsh government could yet introduce such a measure – which would take up to 40 days to introduce - a senior member of the National Assembly for Wales has vowed to fight it.

Michael German says it's important to retain the deal.
