Dog ban petition to be presented

by isleofman.com 3rd March 2010

A Douglas woman leading a campaign against the ban on dogs in public squares in the capital says she will be presenting a petition to Douglas Council leader David Christian and Local Government Minister John Shimmin this week.

Lexi Duggan has collected more than 2,000 names of people who are opposed to the move.

She hopes this will persuade the authorities to reverse what she believes has been a massively unpopular decision, although she's vowing to carry on fighting if the ban stays in place.
