The most senior legal adviser to the Isle of Man Government has announced his intention to resign.
Attorney General John Corlett QC has been in the post since January 1998 and intends to step down in April next year.
The post carries the responsibility for advising both the Isle of Man Government and the Crown, as well as prosecution of offences in the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
The Attorney General is also a member of the Legislative Council and attends meetings of the Council of Ministers.
