Proposals for a new wind farm in the Irish Sea are expected to attract wide public interest when the plans are put on show in the Island later this month.
The Irish Sea zone is one of nine areas around the British Isles earmarked by the UK Crown estates for the third phase of offshore wind generation.
It lies 20 kilometres off the Island's southern coast, just outside Manx territorial waters.
Utility company Centrica will show the public its plans at an Energy Expo being staged by the Department of Trade and Industry.
The DTI's Senior Manager for Energy Policy, Dr Ken Milne, says if it's built the wind farm WILL be visible.
The Energy Expo is being held at Isle of Man College on March 19 and 20.
