Time to do more for Jurby, says MHK

by isleofman.com 3rd March 2010

More must be done to develop Jurby, according to its local MHK.

Michael member David Cannan has made the call after Local Government Minister John Shimmin told him a lack of confidence in the private sector had stalled plans for housing on the old airfield site.

The minister's response came in the House of Keys yesterday (Tuesday).

Speaking to Manx Radio after the sitting, Mr Cannan said proposals from 2003 to make Jurby a 'sustainable village' still hadn't been met.
