Another bid to save RHA

A last-gasp bid’s been made to save the Reciprocal Health Agreement.

Health minister Eddie Teare has today written to the UK secretary of state for health Andy Burnham asking for an urgent meeting.

Mr Teare and chief minister Tony Brown only met Mr Burnham in January when they were told the agreement, which provides free medical treatment for Island residents in the UK and vice versa, will end this month.

However, after being urged by MP Andrew Mackinlay to continue banging on the door of Whitehall, Mr Teare says he is doing just that:
