Health agreement can be saved, vows MP

by isleofman.com 2nd March 2010

There’s still everything to play for to save the Reciprocal Health Agreement.

The agreement will end in a month’s time, meaning Island residents will have to pay for medical treatment in the UK, apart from accident and emergency care and scheduled referrals.

However, Andrew Mackinlay says Manx government officials need to demand a second meeting with the UK Secretary of State for Health Andy Burnham to get the decision deferred.
