Biomass benefits to be outlined

by isleofman.com 1st March 2010

A leading proponent of biomass fuels on the Isle of Man will tell a public meeting tonight (Monday) about the benefits of producing renewable energy locally.

James Hampton of Brabbag Fuels will join environmental consultant Peter Taylor at the Positive Action Group's latest public meeting in the Manx Legion Club in Douglas from 7.30pm.

Mr Hampton will tell attendees about his company, which has been importing biomass fuel, and discuss a future cooperative which would produce the fuel on the Island.

He says growing it here makes more sense than shipping it from elsewhere.
