An Island bank and charity have been named in the Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For.

Fairbairn Private Bank won an impressive eighth position in the table published today (Sunday), having moved progressively up the rankings in recent years.

The Isle of Man Children's Centre won 83rd position in its first year of entry.

The accolade recognises the commitment of both organisations to provide an excellent all-round environment for staff.

The compeition involved employees filling-in a questionaire about their employer.

Chief Executive of the Children's Centre, John Knight, says winning the whole-hearted approval of staff is a great morale boost.

Managing Director of Fairbairn Private Bank, Greg Horton, says the award reflects high standards in the way the company does business.
