Anne Frank exhibition all set to open

by isleofman.com 28th February 2010

Months of intense hard work by a small band of volunteers will come to a climax this week, when the long-awaited Anne Frank exhibition opens in Peel.

The acclaimed presentation of Anne's life in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam opens at St German's Cathedral on Thursday (March 4).

It will go well beyond a portrayal of Anne's life and is aimed primarily at teaching the Island's teenagers the harmful effects of bullying, hatred and disrespect for others.

A series of local events has helped raise funds to bring it here but organisers have now won headline sponsorship from Isle of Man Bank.

A special weekend breakfast to tap interest in the event is being held during March.

Organiser Carol Jempson says it will be a fascinating event.

That breakfast is on Saturday, March 13 at the Hilton Hotel.
