MP backs Island support for North West

by isleofman.com 27th February 2010

Could the Island's spend with hospitals in the North West of England be used to help restore the Reciprocal Health Agreement?

The question has been posed by Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan as momentum grows to try and save it.

The deal ends in just over a month's time but political moves off-Island are continuing in a bid to defer the decision and allow discussions between all devolved governments.

MP Andy Burnham has told the House of Commons he hopes the flow of patients between the Isle of Man and the North West of England willl continue after the end of the agreement.

Mr Rodan believes we could use it as a bargaining tool.
