by isleofman.com 26th February 2010

An inquest has heard how a young Douglas woman was found hanged in the apartment she shared with her sister.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jayne O'Neill's body was discovered in her flat on Westmoreland Road last week.

The court heard Miss O'Neill's sister discovered the tragedy and called paramedics.

Coroner of inquests Alastair Montgomerie recorded the cause of death as asphyxia as a result of hanging.

The case has been adjourned for further investigations to be carried out.
